- The State of North Carolina has established the North Carolina Public Employee Deferred Compensation Plan, a qualified governmental Deferred Compensation Plan under Internal Revenue Code § 401(k), 403(b), and 457(b) for public employees of North Carolina.
- Blue Ridge Community College has adopted the North Carolina Public Employee Deferred Compensation Plan also known as “NC Deferred Comp” under the terms of the Plan Document and the Third-Party-Administrator Agreement.
- Only full-time employees are eligible to defer compensation into the 401(k) plan.
- All employees are eligible to defer compensation in the 403(b) and/or 457(b) plan.
