For purposes of this policy, the term Impermissible Discrimination shall mean: race, color, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information or any other protected class as identified in federal or state law or regulations.
- Blue Ridge Community College Board of Trustees, administrators, faculty, and staff recognize their responsibilities for the development of equal employment opportunities that do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on Impermissible Discrimination and will take action to ensure that personnel actions will be taken during employment without regard to these factors.
- Blue Ridge Community College is an equal educational opportunity institution, which makes no distinction in the admission of students or in any activities on the basis of Impermissible Discrimination.
- The President shall appoint the Vice President of Student Services as the Title IX Coordinator for students and the Human Resources Director as the Title IX Coordinator for employees to ensure that this policy is implemented.
